I can't believe how cold it's gotten in New York, and so quickly! Earlier this week I was sweating my way through the morning commute in a sundress and sandals, and this morning I'm digging through my closet
for ankle boots and scarves. It suddenly feels like fall, and I'm utterly unprepared. I have shopping to do! This time of year always has
me jonesing for Lisa Frank folders, number two pencils, and most importantly, a back-to-school wardrobe.
Before I blow my paycheck at Barneys, though, I'd like to see what
pieces already make the cut for cool weather. Here's what I'm moving to
the front of my rack:
Ankle boots and high heel oxfords--I'm loving them with tights and mini skirts, a la Gossip Girl.
Pencil skirts. Mad Men has me mad for figure hugging cuts.
Cardigans--always a staple, but they feel especially chic this season.
All things Goth-inspired--because black is the new black.
Blazers--to wear belted over skinny jeans.
Leather motorcycle jacket. I'm dying to pair mine with the lightest chiffon top.
What fabulous finds are lurking in your closet that you are excited to wear again?
