A Weekly Round Up of What has Inspired me for my Wedding
Welcome to the second week of my Friday Favorites. Every Friday I will post my favorite things I have discovered while planning my Wedding. Pinterest helps me keep track of all of my musings and you all are the lucky reciepients of seeing them! Most of my inspiration came from Bride magazines, SHAPEBride and the plethora of Blogs, like Style Me Pretty.
Favorite Thing 1.) Stickies
Like I said last week, Pinterest is my virtual post-it for all things, specifically my wedding. When the time does come and I flip through physical bridal magazines I love to use these Stickies to mark the pages I would like to revisit. I have stacks and stacks of magazines in my apartment and don't have the time to revisit every single page. With these nifty devices I mark what I like and make little notes. A great way to organize thoughts and not spend a ton of money.
Favorite Thing 2.) Engagement Movie Trailers
I am obsessed with this idea. It's a super cute idea and totally unique and I think it really gives guests at your wedding (or friends on Facebook) a real glimpse into your relationship. This is one style, and there are also "interviews" where the videographer asks the future bride and groom questions about each other. Now if I can only convince my fiance that this is a good idea and not a waste of time and money.
Favorite Thing 3.) Wedding Traditions to Ignore
Nothing irks me more than a non-sensical traditions. What I like to tell people is that it's 2011 not 1921. SHAPE compiled a list of Traditions to Ignore and I have to say that I agree with most of them. There will be some traditions kept at our wedding, but the hardest part is convincing the rest of the family that we're not ruining our wedding by not following tradition.
Favorite Thing 4.) Floral Headpiece
If I wasn't getting married in November, I would totally rock this at my wedding. My aunt/godmother made a headpiece of daisy's at her wedding back in the 1970's and I remember seeing the photos years later and absolutely loving it.
Favorite Thing 5.) Funfetti Cake Fudge
It describes itself. If I can have this as my cake, I totally will.
Favorite Thing 6.) Groomsmen
Love this look. They will all look so dapper.
Favorite Thing 7.) This ring
If I already didn't have the most perfect engagement ring, this is an EXTREMELY close second.
