From Engagements, to Weddings to Goals for the New Year this is some Inspiration
Unlike most people I've come in contact with, I was kind of sad to see 2011 go. The year was good to me career wise and relationship wise, I mean I got engaged to the love of my life! And started planning a wedding that is starting to finally come together (along with the stress).
The Holidays are a popular time to get engaged including Christmas, New Years and Valentine's Day as the flagships days. I still think its romantic to watch a man get down on one knee in the middle of Times Square in front of millions of people to propose to his lady love. I'm a cheeseball like that. As I scanned my Facebook Newsfeed I noticed a lot of relationship status' changed from "In a Relationship" to "Engaged" as well as my friends congratulating others on their engagements. Here's a great article from Martha Stewart Weddings on preserving your engagement ring and and article on 10 Things to Do as Soon as You Get Engaged.
I also love the idea of a New Year's Eve wedding. A friend of a friend got married on New Year's Eve a few years ago and she had one of those types of weddings that I covet. A Penthouse venue with views out the wazoo, beautiful tablescapes and everything was elegant. Take a peek at this New Year's Eve Inspired Photo Shoot from Style Me Pretty. As I made my list of New Year's Goals, I decided to make some for this blog:
-Bring you more interviews and experiences
-Continue to inspire and be inspired
-Get in SHAPE for my wedding
-Share tips and tricks that I've learned a long the way
Can't wait! Cheers to a lovely 2012!
