I know as an editor in chief, there are a lot of myths surrounding this position at any magazine...no thanks to the movie and book The Devil Wears Prada. I'm here to shed a little light on the reality for you: we struggle with our weight and try really, really hard to resist those office birthday cupcakes just like anyone else. No, we are not size O's (I'm a healthy size 8-10). No, we are not evil, manipulative people. In fact, my motto is to treat people as I'd want to be treated (no job is worth making someone feel like a 'slave'). And we put our hearts into our work: my goal is to provide you with the best possible advice to help you live a better, healthier life. (And most of it, I'm implementing in my own life.) And lastly, we struggle to juggle everything too: In this pic, you'll see me reading and editing Shape articles at the train station waiting for my evening connection...trying to get home to put my kids to bed.
One daily change: Think that YOU have the power to make a difference every single day in whatever job you do. The grass ISN'T greener on the other side; it just looks that way.
