Alison Sweeney Looks Red Hot in Our May Issue
It’s been just a year since The Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney graced the cover of SHAPE magazine for the first time—a terrifying move, she admits—but since then, she’s found a new level of confidence. Perhaps the marathon, four half-marathons, and triathlon she completed in the past 12 months had something to do with her newfound body peace. “I worked really hard for this and I should feel confident,” she says in the May issue of SHAPE, which hits newsstands (and iPads) nationwide on April 22.

Diet tips she picked up on set of her show also helped her stay on track, she says, and she saw even bigger changes when a dentist (scolding her for cavities) insisted she limit sugar intake. “The results were amazing,” she says. “I dropped a couple of jean sizes and stopped craving sweets.”

A healthy diet and race training aren’t the only things that help her stay bikini-ready. Weekly 90-minute sessions of plyometrics, body weight and resistance moves, and stretching keep her lean and strong.
