Big Surprises at the First DWTS Elimination

After two weeks of performances season 14 Dancing with the Stars had its first elimination show. And just like the premiere episode, not for lack of good performances, the first elimination show was….boring. It came as no surprise that tennis pro Martina Navratilova was eliminated. We’re always sad to see a female athlete go but it had to be done. Neither of her performances were great and she forgot a good portion of her week two jive making her the obvious choice.

Singer Gavin Degraw narrowly missed elimination and says he hopes to, “improve five points out of 10,” next week. Good luck to him, watching Gavin reminds me of dancing with my sophomore year of high school homecoming date—awkward but he tried (that’s also how you can explain our end of night kiss too…).

What are we looking forward to next week on Dancing with the Stars? Can’t wait to see how tough, and uber-proud to be Greek, Maria Menounos fares with her two cracked ribs. I actually think she did better with her post-injury second performance! Jaleel White was a bit of a disappointment on week two but rocked his week one foxtrot so we’ll see how the third week treats him. Without Tina Turner and flying gold fringe on her side, how will Sherri Shepherd do? We hope she pulls it out because the season 14 DWTS cast needs a little sass! We’ll also keep William Levy and Donald Driver around for another shot at a shirtless performance. Gladys Knight has been quite a joy to watch but we’ll see if she makes it through another round of eliminations. And no offence to front-runner Katherine Jenkins, Jack Wagner, and Melissa Gilbert but I could take it or leave it. Oh yeah, and Roshon Fegan, almost forgot about him….
