With five films in the works and a new ABC TV series coming out this fall, Malin Akerman still found time to pose—and get in amazing—shape for the cover of SHAPE’s June issue. She may be the picture of confidence in her barely-there bikini, but Akerman admits to stepping up her diet and fitness routine before baring it (almost) all.
You may be surprised that even after being named one of the Sexiest Women in the World by FHM magazine last year, the Scandinavian-born beauty was worried about posing in a bikini! When Akerman found out she’d be shooting a SHAPE cover (She was in Africa with her husband, drummer Roberto Zincone, at the time), she “hit the bikini-panic button.” Not to worry, Akerman put a healthy plan into action, ramping up the veggies and hitting her workouts a little harder.
