Biggest Loser trainer and Shape cover model Jillian Michaels will be leaving the popular weight-loss show.
"After helping hundreds of contestants transform their lives and inspiring millions of viewers at home, The Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels have decided to part ways and she will not be returning for season 16 when it airs in the fall," NBC said in a statement earlier today.
Michaels, who started on the show in 2004, has left the show twice before, once in 2006 and again in 2011. Known for her tough-love approach to fitness, Michaels has never been one to keep quiet, and this winter, she expressed dismay when season 15 winner Rachel Frederickson was revealed to have dropped 155 pounds.
"Nobody had told us. Nobody had said anything," Michaels told Huffington Post Live in February. "Obviously, I thought she lost too much weight."
