As a devoted fan of the Biggest Loser, I’ve watched Jillian Michaels tell all sorts of people what they should eat before a workout but I’ve been dying to know: what does she eat prior to hitting the gym? Last week I was lucky enough to get a chance to ask our September cover model.
About 45 minutes before training Michaels snacks on EBoost and half a banana with a tablespoon of almond butter. “This way I get the electrolytes and energy boost from the EBoost and banana with the fat and protein from the almond butter to stabilize my blood sugar and keep me from crashing,” says the trainer.
Post-workout Michaels skips the snack, “I usually just wait for my next meal, but if I do I would go for a whey protein shake to replenish my amino [acids].”
