In honor of the upcoming holidays I have decided to round up the 12 Cocktails of Christmas. What did I consider when choosing these festive drinks? First of all taste. Who cares how healthy it is if you don’t want to drink it? Second, calories. I don’t know about you, but the chances of me having just one drink at my next holiday party are slim to none. Third, I looked at sugar since that’s what causes a lot of the issues with alcohol and weight maintenance. (Click here to learn more about it. Our Diet Doctor discusses just what you can drink and still lose weight—pretty interesting stuff!) I did take fat into consideration when it comes to creamy drinks that are popular this time of year. And lastly, I made sure they are all festive and fun! What does that mean? Seasonal ingredients, an unexpected spice, or a pretty presentation.
