We love the idea of making large-batch servings of our favorite smoothies or juices to save time in the morning, but how do you store it so that it doesn't go bad before you have a chance to enjoy the whole thing?

1. Store your smoothie in an airtight container. Rider recommends filling the container to the very top to prevent air from being trapped in the container. (Air will oxidize the nutrients in your smoothie, thus degrading its nutrients.)
2. Seal your container tightly. Store in the refrigerator. As a bonus, Rider says adding lemon or lime juice to your smoothie will boost the vitamin C content and also help prevent oxidation.
