It's no secret "gluten" has become a dirty word over the past few years. "Here in L.A., it's comparable to Satanism," Jimmy Kimmel quipped on his show last night.
But how many people swearing by their gluten-free diets actually know what it is they are avoiding?
Kimmel was on it. He sent a camera crew out to a popular exercise spot in Los Angeles and asked people who are gluten-free a simple question: "What is gluten?" The answers in the video below are simply hilarious.
And to be sure you know the correct answer: "Gluten" is a general name for the proteins found in wheat, rye, barley, and triticale.
