A PB&J-Inspired Cocktail

It’s the first day of March, not quite spring, but certainly better than the brutally cold days of winter we’ve been experiencing of late. I’m ready to move on from the rich, warm drinks we’ve been shaking up since December but not ready for refreshing fruity cocktails just yet.

That’s why I’m loving the nuts & berries recipe below. Made with berry liqueur, this vodka drink hints at the fresh fruits that are soon to come but is still a little rich thanks to a small amount of milk. What’s more, today just happens to be National Peanut Butter Lover's Day, making the PB&J vodka even more appropriate.

Customize the cocktail with your favorite berry liqueur. Try a raspberry Chambord, crème de cassis for a blackcurrant flavor, Guavaberry liqueur, or FAIR. Goji Liqueur for something a little more exotic. And in case the cold winds whip through again, swap the milk for cream for an additional 63 calories and 1.7 grams of fat.

Mix one up tonight and hope that Punxsutawney Phil was right (he didn’t see his shadow, in case you missed it).
