If you’re like me, salty sweet snacks are the ones that send you overboard. A craving hits and you grab some chocolate covered pretzels, Moose Munch, trail mix, whatever your salty sweet snack of choice is. But the problem is—it’s impossible to stop! Just when you’ve had too much sweet you get a burst of salt and you’re reaching for more. That's why I was pumped to learn that LUNA is making a salty sweet bar: Peanut Honey Pretzel. And, for me, it has the two most important things when a salty sweet craving hits: good flavor and portion control.
So what can I tell you about LUNA's first foray into the world of salty sweet? The Peanut Honey Pretzel bar combines some of my favorites: peanut butter, pretzels, and a layer of salty peanuts, drizzled with honey. It clocks in under 200 calories and provides 9 grams of protein, which is more than I can say for most of my salty sweet mainstays. And, despite being sweet it’s a low glycemic food!
