Thank goodness those six geese were a laying because this cocktail is best served with fresh egg whites—and boy is it good!
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me six geese a laying snowflakes, FIVE BOX OF WINE, four calling birds (who live in a spice tree), three French martinis, two turtlenecks and Campari with a pear purée.
Another tasty gin cocktail from the wonderful Nick Van Tiel the snowflake requires fresh egg whites—perfect for the sixth day of Christmas since those geese are already a laying! Don’t be turned off by the egg whites it’s completely safe and healthy. In fact, I learned this tidbit from SHAPE’s hot healthy bartender Joshua, it’s the outside of the egg that can carry bacteria. Just wash your eggs first and you’ll be fine! A light touch of sugar with the egg whites give this drink a light delicate texture that is just lovely!
1oz Plymouth gin
½oz lemon juice
Dash of Turbinado sugar
fresh egg white
Shake Plymouth gin with fresh lemon juice, a touch of sugar and fresh egg whites.
