While I was packing for my two-week journey through the southeast during the final weeks of winter, I realized I should have been a little more prepared when it came to my spring shoe wardrobe. It had been almost three months since I had even considered open-toed shoes as a part of my wardrobe. When I pulled out last season’s sandal collection, I was disappointed to find some major upgrading was needed.
It was apparent that all three pairs (silver, black, and gold) of the same sandal I had worn for three years were in need of a really good cobbler—or a trash can. I packed two pairs, knowing they would have to suffice for this trip.
Recently, while perusing the Internet and e-mailing a few friends, I decided it was time to order a couple of new pairs of my favorite Sam Edelman Gigi sandals.
If you are in the market for a spring shoe overhaul, please let me recommend these durable and versatile sandals. They come in a variety of colors and pack easily for all of your weekend getaways. In addition, they are pretty affordable given the fact that you can expect to get two or three seasons out of them (depending on how often you wear them, which for me, is all the time).
