Getting in a routine...

Sorry for the delay, I've been so busy! My triathlon training is under way and it's going pretty well. It does at times feel like I'm juggling two full-time jobs with all that I have to do, so managing my time is so important right now and over the next few months. What I've found: Once you get in a routine--like planning how to tackle your to-do list at work and schedule your work outs in the evening--it's much easier to stay on track with all of your goals. So for the past two weeks I've made sure to make a list of my day's priorities and cross them off as I go. I've been much more productive and have made it to swim practice in Brooklyn (a few subway stops away), met up with other teammates for after work runs, and practiced a little R & R on Friday nights so I can wake up early for practice the next day. Since I've started at Shape, I've realized that in the working world, you're going to have a million things on your plate, whether you're an editor in chief or just an assistant like me, there's always a lot to do and a lot to remember to do. There's never been a time in my life that I've been this busy, but it's definitely a good busy! If I didn't follow my daily to-do list I'd probably be lost...and never make it out of the office to have some 'me' time!
