The Best Money-Saving, Makeup-Saving Tips
Today I'm going to share a life-saver of a quick tip that any "girl on the go" should know and put into practice. I can't even begin to tell you how much money this has saved me. I'm on the road a lot, which means I often pack a carry-on bag which gets absolutely no love from being shoved into an overhead bin the size of a shoe box. I also often go to and from my office to the gym, carrying my makeup bag with me, which means that there are a lot of opportunities for something to go wrong when it comes to pressed powder, eye shadow, bronzer, and blush palates.
In the past, every time one of my compacts has broken, I've given up on using it because every time I opened it, there was always more color on my bathroom sink than on my cheeks or eye lids where it belonged. But the next time this happens to you, don't throw it away!
When this happens, go to your nearest beauty store and ask for sample makeup jars. Most places will have small plastic containers that they'll likely give you for free. You can safely store your newly crumbled makeup for long term wear. Sephora has some small cases that you can buy for for only $3. Here are the "before" and "after" results of what you'll get by this little trick.
