What I've really come to embrace lately: enjoying working out. Don't get me wrong: I've always loved the rush (aka serotonin boost) I get from exercise, but now I've come to enjoy the "rush" I get just looking forward to working out. The change I've made: stop obsessing about what I MUST do to burn calories and slim down. Instead, look for new opportunities (the triathlon, tennis) to have fun with others and challenge myself. THAT attitude switch has made all the difference in the world.
Just sharing two pics of me with my tennis partners (that's me on the far left) and my serve—which is now making it over the net in the sweet spot. Now, it's not a power serve by any means, but it gets the job done. "Consistency" is what our tennis coach Matt told me is key to getting better. That holds true for tennis ... and just about anything in life. Thanks, Matt!
