I love the Olympics! The U.S. women's gymnastics team stole the show last night by taking the gold medal in the U.S. women's gymnastics team finals, but I would be remiss if I didn’t give a big shout out to first-time Olympian and bronze medalist in the women’s 200-meter Individual Medley, swimmer Caitlin Leverenz. Also, congrats to the U.S. men’s swim team of Conor Dwyer, Ryan Lochte, Ricky Berens, and Michael Phelps for winning gold in the 4x200-meter Freestyle. A special congratulations to Phelps for making history by becoming a 19-time Olympic gold medalist and now the most decorated Olympian in history. That’s definitely not to be taken lightly. What a huge accomplishment!
Now on to the Fab Five! Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, and Kyla Ross, you guys totally rock! What an exciting time to not only be an American, but to be a woman too. You demonstrated strength, courage, power, confidence, and teamwork as you all competed and settled for nothing but the best. There were so many highlights last night that it's hard to pick our favorite one. There is no better feeling than having that gold medal put around your neck and hearing your national anthem as the flag raises. You all represented your country well, and we are all very proud of you. Thank you all for blessing us with your talents and skills. Last night was absolute perfection!
