Hi Fellow Fitness Enthusiasts!
Like you, I’m a regular at the gym and on the running track, but I’ve never competed in a triathlon before—and I’m excited to share all the ups, downs, successes, failures, questions, and fears of training for my first 3-in-1 with you here at Ready, Set, Race! Since my event, the New Jersey State Triathlon, is on July 21, I’ll officially start training with the 12-week plan outlined in SHAPE’s May issue (on newsstands now!) on Sunday, April 29. Danielle McNally is the associate fitness editor at SHAPE magazine, where she reports on the latest news, trends, and gear in the exercise world, along with the occasional travel and pop culture piece. She was previously an assistant editor at Food Network Magazine, but left shortly after completing the ING New York City Marathon, when she realized her passion for working out.
