Ask the Trainer: Live Twitterview January 9th

Just one week into 2013 you’re probably hitting your healthy resolutions hard but may realize you have a few questions about how to achieve your goals. Are you working out too much? Are low reps with heavy weights or high reps with light weights a better choice? Should you be doing cardio or strength training for maximum results? What does that machine do anyway…?

Even if you’re well on your way to achieving your goals, it never hurts to have a little positive reinforcement to help you along. That’s why we asked one of our favorite personal trainers, SHAPE fitness editor-at-large Jay Cardiello, to join us for a live Twitterview to answer your questions and remove any obstacles keeping you from the results you want.

Jay has been inspiring us for years through his impressive work whipping professional athletes, actors, and musicians into top shape. He’s also the founder of the JCORE Accelerated Body Transformation System, which has helped everyone from his famous friends to new moms tone up and slim down. And what’s more, he makes fitness fun! Trust us, you can’t dread a workout made up of tidal waves, beach days, and slot machines—yes, these are all fun but tough moves from Jay’s workouts.

Tune in on Twitter Wednesday, January 9th, at 3 p.m. EST as Jay provides all the motivation, inspiration, and information you'll need to succeed this year. Be sure to follow @Shape_Magazine and @JCOREbody and submit your questions using the hashtag #Shape2013. (Bonus: During the chat, we'll share an exclusive promo code that will give you 20% off all products from the JCORE store. Score!)

Ask the Trainer: Live Twitterview January 9th-2As an editor at SHAPE I have the chance to learn about the healthiest ways to cook, eat, and live from all sorts of experts but I’m also a single girl living in NYC with a busy schedule, active social life, and chocolate cravings. I’m here to share what works for me—and where I need a little help from you.
