Gentlemen: Is your girlfriend just too demanding? Is she always bothering you when you're out with your bros, trying to do bro things? Is she always trying to talk to you and ask you about your day? Well, no more! No, sir. None of that nonsense for you. Now, for $1.99, you can purchase an app that will talk to your girlfriend for you, you lazy tool.
BroApp, a "clever relationship wingman" (ew), allows men to send preprogrammed text messages to their ladyfriends while they're out broing. The app offers a series of prepared text messages, such as "Hey babe, just leaving work now" or "Hey babe, what are you up to tonight?" Or, "Hey darl, how did it go today?" (Okay, really? WTF is a 'darl' anyway?) Or, if the guy is feeling ambitious, he can edit any of the messages to make them seem more like something he'd actually say.
The app can also be programmed to not send text messages at certain times—such as when the user is connected to the same wi-fi network as the recipient—to avoid arousing suspicion (nothing says 'I love you,' like receiving a preprogrammed text from your boo while you guys are sitting on the couch next to each other). It will also refrain from sending her text messages when you've recently texted her (this may actually explain why I couldn't seem to get it to work when I downloaded the app to test it out myself).
In theory, the app is actually kind of funny, but in reality, this annoying ladyfriend thinks men should proceed with caution. After all, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...or one who's just discovered her boyfriend literally can't be bothered to send her a simple, "What's up?" text once in a while.
What do you think of the app? Is it lame or do you wish there was a version for women? Let us know in the comments below or Tweet us @Shape_Magazine!
