Before it's even released, Christina Aguilera has tweeted a photo of her new single's album cover, and everyone is quite aflutter:
The single, "Your Body," is due out tomorrow to radios and available for purchase Monday on iTunes, but it's the cover that is creating all of the buzz.
The singer shows off her nearly-nude figure, covered by a barely-there translucent pink material that hugs every curve. It's no secret that the pop diva has taken some heat in the past year over her weight, but the self-proclaimed beautiful woman has always been publicly proud of her body, from her skinny ‘90s to perhaps the most controversial photos of her snapped at the “Michael Forever” concert in honor of the late Michael Jackson in October 2011.
She recently opened up to Lucky magazine in a personal interview, "Actually, the challenge I've always had is being too thin," she said. "So I love that now I have a booty, and obviously I love showing my cleavage."
When asked in a twitterview conversation yesterday what her inspiration was for the new album, she replied, “Self expression and freedom. The album represents a rebirth for me.” She was also asked what women inspire her, to which she replied, "Strong, take-charge women who are hard workers, individuals, and who stay true to who they are."
Sounds to us like she's doing just that! What do you think of the singer’s new cover art?
Aguilera also tweeted this photo from the set of the music video for the single, which is to premiere on "The Voice" on Monday, September 17.
