We all want to live a long life, and new research is telling us how we can add a whole decade of healthy years to our lifespans. According to new study out of Canada, it takes just seven simple steps.
First, be active. Being sedentary can cut a person's life short by almost four years. Second, know your cholesterol levels and keep them at a healthy level. Third, eat a healthy diet full of lean proteins, fruits, veggies and whole grains. Forth, control your blood pressure. Fifth, be at a healthy weight. Being obese can also reduce your life by about four years. Sixth, manage diabetes if you have it. And last? Don't smoke!
