If you're a fan of the Bachelor franchise, you know what the words "fantasy suite" imply. But in case you had any lingering confusion, runner-up Nick Viall cleared that right up during last night's live post-finale special when he put Bachelorette Andi Dorfman on the spot about what went down off-air.

"Knowing how in love with you I was, if you weren't in love with me, I'm just not sure why you made love with me?" he asked Dorfman. Cue audience gasps. Cue DVR rewind. "Well first of all, I think that's kind of below the belt. I think that's something that should be kept private," Dorfman responded.

Perhaps we can cut him a little bit of slack: He was clearly heartbroken and hoping for some closure (his previous attempts to track her down on vacation in Mexico didn't quite work out as planned). After all, the guy was pretty convinced he'd be marrying Dorfman, and strongly believed the feeling was reciprocated. Still, kind of a low blow. Not to mention, Viall admitted to having watched past seasons of the Bachelorette before coming on the show, so he knows how the charade is supposed to go. The first rule of the fantasy suite: You do not talk about the fantasty suite.

Regardless, Dorfman's response was a good one: She spoke her peace without engaging too much. "It's always important to be a lady. Unfortunately, there are people who have an ugly side that comes out when they're feeling hurt and rejected, but that doesn't mean you should sink down to their level," says Tracey Steinberg, a New York City-based dating expert.

When it comes to exes, the less interaction the better, she suggests. "If he's on a war path, the last thing you want to do is give him more ammunition," Steinberg says. And if it's someone you're currently dating who's going around sharing private information, you need to have a conversation about what you're comfortable with and what is and is not appropriate to share, because he may not understand that it's a betrayal, she says.

In this case, we hope Nick got the answers he was looking for—but think he also may have just squashed his chances for being the next Bachelor.
