Clean Eating Tip: Clean Up Your Cereal

Eating clean doesn't have to be difficult. Today, just get rid of the sugary stuff and fill your bowl with whole grains and nothing but! My cupboard is full of cold cereals made from the same whole grains you’d eat for dinner, just “puffed.” Spruce them up with organic skim, soy or hemp milk, fresh or dried fruit, and a dash of cinnamon. If you need a natural sweetener, drizzle with a touch of pure maple syrup or organic honey. Some of my favorite options include:

Kashi 7 Whole  Grain Puffs. ingredients: Kashi Seven Whole Grains & Sesame ®Blend (Whole Hard, Red Winter Wheat, Whole Long Grain Brown Rice, Whole Oats, Whole Barley, Whole Triticale, Whole Rye, Whole Buckwheat, Sesame Seeds.

Arrowhead Mills Puffs. Ingredients include puffed wheat, millet, kamut and corn (the only ingredient in each is the grain itself and yup, corn counts as a member of the whole grain family!)
