2 Ways to Stay on Track BEFORE the Holidays

With the holidays here, I thought I’d share some thoughts with you on how to avoid starting the New Year with the gift of extra pounds. First, remember to write up a shopping list before you go to the grocery store. Otherwise you’re going to walk into the market, see the display table overloaded with candies and cookies, and sweep all of the treats into your cart. Be wary of the free samples, too. They may not hit your wallet, but they will hit your waistline. After all, how many times have you seen items available to sample that are actually healthy? Instead, throw an apple or almonds into your purse. That way if you’re out shopping and get hungry, you have an alternative to the high-calorie sweets that surround you.

Do you guys have any tips for keeping your eating habits in check this time of year?
