Doing the leg work

I recently bought some new high heels to wear to a wedding and I want my calves to look extra toned in them. My trainer, Tommy Houck, taught me this three-part move that I can do at home:

1. Stand on the bottom step of a stairway, facing up, with feet hip-width apart and heels off edge, hands on hips. Rise up onto balls of feet, lower heels, and repeat. Do 10 reps.
2. Walk up one step and stand with feet hip-width apart, toes turned out and heels off edge, hands on hips. Rise up onto balls of feet, lower heels, and repeat. Do 10 reps.
3. Walk up one step and stand with feet hip-width apart, toes turned in and heels off edge, hands on hips. Rise up onto balls of feet, lower heels, and repeat. Do 10 reps.
4. Repeat entire sequence until you reach the top of the stairs.
