This week my trainer, Whitney Cole, had me work out at her apartment instead of at my house. She has a lot more equipment than I do, so we were able to change up my usual routine. I started out walking on the treadmill and then sped up to a run (making a mental note to get some running capris because my shorts kept riding up due to my thighs rubbing together). Then we were ready for some strength training moves. While I usually do lunges and jump-ups on an aerobic step, Whitney had me use one of her free-weight benches. It was a lot higher—and harder! At the end of the hour I drove back home—happy with how hard I’d worked and looking forward to a nice shower.
