The unexpected way it can help you shed pounds every day
When I don’t have time to prepare my own healthy lunch to take to work, I take advantage of all the resources around me. The local university, just walking distance from my office, has a great salad bar in their cafeteria, which is open to the public. I often find myself there during busy weeks, and a colorful meal packed with multiple ingredients costs me only $5.40!
Here is what I chose for my salad today: lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, chickpeas, grilled chicken, and a sprinkle of feta cheese with balsamic dressing on the side.
Knowing I can create this salad quickly and affordably keeps me on track when I can’t get to the grocery store or I'm too busy to whip up my lunch before heading to the office.
