Sloppy Supper

My nutritionist Ruth told me that every time I use a protein, like ground turkey, I should make something different with it (turkey burger, meatloaf, tacos, etc.). This will help me avoid getting bored. So the other night, when it was time to plan dinner, I decided to try this recipe from Hungry Girl. It was so good! I served it on whole-wheat buns and even my broccoli-hating husband loved it. Enjoy!

 Sloppy Joe Stir-Fry Slaw from Hungry Girl

Spray a skillet with nonstick cooking spray and heat it over medium-high heat on the stove. Add 8 ounces lean ground turkey and cook until browned, about 8 minutes. Add one 12-ounce bag of broccoli cole slaw and 1cup Hunt’s Manwich Original Sloppy Joe sauce and stir to mix. Continue to cook for about six minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is hot and slaw has softened.

MAKES 4 SERVINGS

PER SERVING (about 1 cup): 140 calories, 4g fat, 455mg sodium, 13g carbs, 3g fiber, 13.5g protein
