Slow and steady

I just finished up my second session with Ruth Frechman, R.D., my nutritionist, and we talked about how I have to become more patient with weight loss. In the past I’ve always focused on the number on the scale as a measure of my self-worth. If it went down a lot I was a success, if it didn’t budge I was a loser. This time I just need to keep doing things right and trust that in time my weight will change. She reminded me to eat small, frequent meals, eat only when I’m hungry, and work in more fruit and veggies. Luckily I’ve found some sneaky ways to get more vegetables and give myself a healthy diet boost. As long as I keep taking things day by day, I know I’ll reach my goal.
