Wedded bliss

My niece Danielle recently got married. I ate smart all week, saving up my “splurge” calories for the reception. But I didn’t even really need them! At dinner I filled most of my plate with salad and then added some grilled chicken. I passed on the pasta Alfredo and lasagna because I had my eyes on the tower of cupcakes she had in lieu of a cake. When it came time for dessert, my husband and I grabbed one red velvet and one vanilla and split them (well, he had 70 percent and I had 30 percent). I enjoyed every bite and proceeded to spend the next two hours burning them off on the dance floor. It was a great evening full of good choices and fun times.
