"Mom, what do you want to be when you grow up?" asked my 5-year-old son as he was coloring with his crayons. "Umm...mommy works at a magazine. That's what I do," I responded. "NO, not that. I mean when you grow up!" he said adamantly.
"Well, what do YOU want to be?" I asked him. Without a pause he said: "Superman ... who owns Target (his favorite store). But mommy," he said, looking up from his coloring book, "maybe you can be superwoman and we can fly together."
I had to share this exchange as I thought: the joy and unlimited possibilities of childhood are so inspiring and motivating that we must try to never lose that belief that each of us can be superwoman in our own lives. Never stop believing in yourself. That's what keeps us young!
