I’ve been trolling a new Web site that has me counting my 2010 vacation days. It’s called skiresorts.com, and it makes planning a winter getaway super easy. The site provides all the must-know info for more than 40 resorts in the U.S. and Canada—like annual snowfall, number of trails, and when to expect the least amount of people. Plus, it has trail maps, current conditions, and links to other nearby activities (helpful for finding a yoga class or booking an après-ski massage).
My favorite feature, though, is the constantly updated trove of ski-and-stay deals. You can book choice packages—like $300 for three nights and lift tickets at Beaver Village resort in Winter Park, Colorado—right through the site. There’s also a section for discounted gear, which comes in extra handy if you’re looking for a pair of goggles or gloves last-minute and don’t want to pay a fortune.
Now, the hard part. Getting those vacation days….
