“U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!” I’ve been practicing my chant for the past week (apologies to my husband) because I’m so excited to go to Vancouver tomorrow. I’ve been an Olympics fanatic since I was a kid. My sister and I used to watch the events on TV, and then compete in our signature “Bedlympics” event, which consisted of jumping and flipping on our parents’ bed. (We’d even pretend to get choked up as we stood on the medal stand and waved to our “fans”!) I get pretty emotional when I watch the Games—my palms sweat during snowboard cross and I cried when Hannah Kearney won the gold last weekend—so I can only imagine how intense it will be to see some of the events live.
One thing’s for sure: It will be very clear that I’m rooting for team U.S.A. Thanks to the folks at Lululemon Athletica, I’ll be wearing a red-white-and-blue hat, scarf, and mittens everywhere I go. (See my photo, below.) When you watch the Games next week, look for me in the crowd, screaming “U.S.A.!” at the top of my lungs. And don’t forget to check back here every day from February 20 to February 25 to find interviews with athletes and video clips of my adventures in Vancouver.
Here I am sporting the Lululemon Athletica Cheer Me On toque, scarf, and mitts ($32, 28, and 32; shop.lululemon.com)
