A common reaction I get when I tell people I'm a yoga instructor is, "Oh, that's like Pilates, right?" It's a little bizarre, but people who are unfamiliar with the two workouts often view them as the same thing.
Of course, I am biased and couldn't disagree more, but there are some similar elements between the two, which include a multitude of ways to strengthen your core, and lengthen and strengthen your whole body.
