Some people steer clear of yoga thinking they don't have time for it. Traditional yoga classes can be upwards of 90 minutes, but now you can get a quick workout in no time, complete with poses to open your body.
Tabata is the pressed-for-time person's workout dream come true. It's just four minutes, broken down into eight rounds of 20 seconds of a high-intensity move followed by 10 seconds of rest. And not only is it quick, it's also super effective.
Typically during a tabata workout, you complete one active exercise for the first four rounds and a different active exercise for the second four rounds. In order to make this workout even more efficient, we came up with a Tabata-yoga mashup where you do a restorative yoga pose during the rest period.
