You may associate ROXY, a brand of Quicksilver, Inc., with surfing, but now you can wear their clothing on a run, in yoga class, or just relaxing on the weekend. The brand has launched a new outdoor gear and apparel line—and, hallelujah—the prices are comparable and the apparel is not only fashion savvy but also utilitarian.
ROXY Outdoor Fitness is heavily focused on keeping you dry, cool, and safe during any trek in the great outdoors. "The ROXY girl's place is outside. She lives an adventurous life and sees great outdoors as her playground," Susan Branch, general manager of ROXY, said in a press release. "We are excited to offer a new fashion and performance product category that encourages and enables girls to be ready for their daily adventures."
While the line is designed for the open air, who's to say that you can't wear the yoga pants, capris, tanks, jackets, or sports bras to the gym or a yoga studio? But if you want to paddle a canoe or set out on a long hike, these pieces, like the Reef Break Jacket (Roxy.com, $88) and High Seas Long Sleeve Spring Suit (Roxy.com, $108), have the water resistance and zone mesh ventilation to get you through. Other new features the line has going for it: UV sun protection, soft flatlock seams for reduced chafing, quick drying fabrics, four-way stretch, and moisture-wicking fabric.
Some of our favorite pieces include the Spin Sports Bra (Roxy.com, $48), the Perfectly Seamless Bra (Roxy.com, $48), the Up Wind Neoprene Capri Pants (Roxy.com, $78), and the Everyday Yoga Pant (Roxy.com, $78). These items cross the line between outdoor fitness and urban gym that make them easily wearable in any sweaty scenario.
