Jack Osbourne grew up in the public eye on MTV’s Meet the Osbournes, so we all watched as he transformed from a troubled teen with substance abuse issues to a healthy, happy family man. But when Osbourne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012, his health became even more of a priority. He turned to CrossFit and a "pretty insane" regimen of vitamins and hormone therapies to manage his symptoms. "Right now am I going to be in a wheelchair? No," he says. "But if I don't take care of myself, who knows?"

There's nothing like starring in a major action movie opposite Tom Cruise to motivate you to get into shape! That's what initially drew new mom Paula Patton to a CrossFit box. "It was really the most grueling and one of the hardest things I’ve done," she says.
Patton admits to some dark moments at first. "I worked out for two and half hours, six days a week for a couple of months. It was so hard! I would never cry in front of the boys, but inside I was hurting and a little depressed." But it got better. "You have to get past that moment of self-doubt. After a month, the wall came down and the training felt doable. It still wasn’t easy, but doable, and that felt really empowering."

Tim McGraw is a new man, inside and out. Recently the country star and father of two admitted to battling alcoholism. Channing Tatum has always had an impressive physique, but now that he’s the "Sexiest Man Alive" according to People magazine, everyone is dying to know how the actor stays so sculpted.
"I like to be lean. If I get too bulky I can't move well, and I like to move," he says. "When I'm not training, I get really round and soft."

Perhaps the original celebrity endorser of CrossFit, The Biggest Loser<.em> trainer Bob Harper has been very vocal about his love for the short-but-intense workouts. In an interview with Men’s Fitness, he explained, "Jumping into CrossFit was like jumping into the deep end of a pool. These workouts are so compact. I used to do long sessions all the time, and my body started to get beat up. But with CrossFit, it's almost like my body is finally getting a chance to rest while, at the same time, I'm pushing it harder than I've ever pushed it."

High School Musical cutie Vanessa Hudgens decided to trade in her school-girl look for something a little tougher for her role in the 2011 gritty action film Sucker Punch. Trainer Logan Hood put Hudgens and her tough-girl costars through grueling 90-minute workouts based on CrossFit principles.
"[The girls] pulled heavy ropes, hoisted kettlebells, and dragged tractor tires—definitely not your typical Hollywood workout," Hood says. "Initially, the girls were skeptical, but Vanessa was stronger than she imagined—and has the body to prove it." Hudgens even gave SHAPE readers an exclusive look at her workout.

But Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan challenged a lot of stereotypes, especially when it comes to her workouts. "She did not want to be rail-thin," boyfriend Charmel Maynard told the New York Post. "She did it the right way: She did a lot of CrossFit, and she just ate a lot better."

Malin Akerman was another actress who turned to Logan Hood and his CrossFit-style workouts to whip her into superhero shape for her action flick, The Watchmen. To help her get camera-ready as quickly as possible, Logan amped up the intensity of workouts, while still keeping them short.
"My muscles have never had such tone," Akermam told Women's Healthmagazine. "My body was noticeably different."

Singer Kelly Clarkson credits CrossFit with helping her shape up and feel confident about her body. "You never work out more than 35 minutes, but it's so intense… It makes me feel like G.I. Jane. It's very empowering," she says about the notoriously tough workout. "I do it totally for my psyche. I'm much better when those endorphins are going. It's a release. And I also love food, so there's a payoff!"
