Jennifer Lopez has dancing in her bones, so it's no wonder she recommends Zumba workouts as a great way to release stress and keep you happy. "As women, we tend to give away a lot. We take care of a lot of people, and we can't forget to take care of ourselves. If that means once a week you're going to go off without the kids or without anybody and just go shoe shopping — well, that's me, because I love shoes — or get a facial even if your sister thinks that's selfish, or join a Zumba class, or take a painting class, or whatever, you've just got to do it," she recently said.
Even before she started shedding weight on Dancing With the Stars, Kirstie Alley had already started the year as a fan of a rhythmic workout. In January she took part in a large Zumba class in Kansas, where her sister works as a Zumba instructor. "My resolution this year is to have fun when I work out," the actress said.
Jordin Sparks is not just a fan of the hip-shaking workout; she's a devoted Zumba class attendee. The American Idol-bred singer credits her recent weight loss (rumored to be around 30 pounds) on becoming more active, including taking Zumba classes with her mom. "Something just clicked with me, and instead of sitting around talking about it I said, 'I'm going to go hike that mountain!' And it continued. I've been hiking and I've done a couple of runs. I also do Zumba. It's so much fun!" she said.
