Although Ryan Reynolds may be making more headlines recently for his recent divorce from Scarlett Johansson and his upcoming role in Green Lantern, we know and love him for something else: his commitment to fitness. And those abs. Holy moly.
So just how does this Canadian-born Hollywood-hunk stay so darn fit? According to his personal trainer Bobby Storm, who created a "super-hero" workout for Reynolds, a little bit of everything. From strength training that works opposing muscles groups to yoga to Pilates to kickboxing to core work, Reynolds did it all to prepare for the role of the Green Lantern. In fact, Reynolds worked out like a mad man for six months, seven days a week, 90 minutes a day.
Fitness has long been a passion of Reynolds though. In 2008 he courageously decided to run the New York City Marathon as a challenge to himself and to raise funds for fighting Parkinson's Disease. He finished the race in less than 4 hours and ended up raising more than $80,000.
Truly a fit man we love!
