Brooke Burke is giving you extra motivation to exercise: super cute activewear. The fit media maven has just launched her own line Caelum—an acronym for create, active, evolve, live, uplift, and motivate—available in stores and online at Nordstrom. (And every item retails for less than $100!) “Women are working out often, harder, and longer. They’re staying in their activewear all day long,” she says. “Part of my mission is to help inspire, to teach women how to feel their best, and dress the part.”

Burke gave us an exclusive look at her fun, sexy photo shoot for the brand. So read on to see the line (which features cool, neon, layering pieces and abstract geometric prints) and hear the deets on Burke’s workout regime, fitness tips, and secrets to success. [Tweet this!]

Gear That's Functional, Sexy, and Affordable

“Women don't need to be spending all their money like what some of the bigger brands are doing right now. I want them to look great at an affordable price and be inspired to work out from their wardrobe. We've got some really beautiful strappy performance tops that you'll want to work out in and wear under some open-back shirt afterward. It’s a great compromise if you can't find the perfect bra. We have some off-the-shoulder sweatshirts and mesh pieces I'm really obsessed with that are both sexy and functional.”

Relieve Stress and Feel Uplifted

“I love the physical results and the endorphins of exercise; it’s such a stress reliever. I don't like to work out with a drill sergeant though. I want to uplift women and inspire them and push them to greatness. I don't like the ‘let me kick your ass’ mentality.”

Prioritize Me Time

“The older I get, the more I feel free to make myself a priority. I’ve always loved the quote, ‘Work out because you don't have time not to.’ It's just the best thing you can do for yourself. I do believe in recovery too. I'm just fine with three days on a busy week—and that’s enough for everybody, I think.”

Eat What You Want

“I love to eat. If I want a greasy margarita pizza, I'll have it. I work out so I can enjoy my life. I believe the more you eat, the more you kick up your metabolism. My diet is mainly Mediterranean. It’s very flavorful and fresh with lots of olive oil, avocados, veggies, homemade soups, filet mignon with broccoli and lentils, or chicken and fish. I always eat all the colors of the rainbow. When you go as fresh as you can, that’s a pretty good rule.”

“I've learned that on my worst days, every time I work out, I feel 100-percent better. You can sweat out any bad mood, hangover, or PMS. I really believe that!”

Balance Fitness and Family

“It’s really important to get a good night's sleep. I try to schedule workouts in the morning so I can have family time at night. As corny as it sounds, I don’t like to be away from my family, as it's the most enjoyable part of my day, so I usually do my at-home fitness DVD series. One of my DVDs is only 20 minutes, so you have no excuses not to get it done.”
