Tom Brady has often credited his intense sugar-free, gluten-free, salt-free and basically fun-free diet for staying in peak shape. So much so that he created a meal kit, giving people access to the same meals he eats to stay fit. But as it turns out, the brains behind this insanity isn't Brady himself or his personal chef—it's his wife: supermodel and ex Victoria's Secret Angel Gisele Bündchen.
"In my situation, we have a plant-based diet and we've been having it for 10 years," Bündchen explained on CBS This Morning. "Because we feel better, it is better for our health and everything we put into our body has an effect on us, has an effect on our energy and how we feel."
When asked directly if she initiated their infamous healthy lifestyle, the model revealed: "It has come from me."
While Brady started out the new lifestyle by still eating lean meats, he has now completely switched over to a plant-based diet—a decision he feels has helped him get into the best shape of his life at 39-years-old.

"The thing is, he said he's been feeling so much better," Bündchen explained. "I have to say it's amazing, you know, the way he feels. He doesn't feel achy. He just feels so much more energy."
We can't argue that a healthy diet helps you feel better, but if you want the energy without all the restrictions (uh, yes please), we suggest these foods for all-day energy instead.
