Tom Brady and his family's notorious eating habits have been making the news for quite some time now. Last year, he released a $200 "nutritional manual" through his company TB12 Sports, dishing out some of their diet secrets. Now he's taking things to a whole new level.
Today his team announced their partnership with Purple Carrot, a plant-based meal kit company that will be launching TB12 Performance Meals. Not only will the dinner subscription service include fresh, pre-portioned ingredients, but it will also have simple step-by-step instructions to help subscribers cook many of the same meals Brady eats to stay fit.
I am so excited to introduce our first TB12 Performance Meals that deliver right to your door! So many times people ask me, "What do you do?". Well this is one of the answers! Our bodies are our temples and you get out of it what you put into it. Check out the link in my bio for more details #eatlikeagoat
"TB12 and Purple Carrot are two organizations that both believe in the power of plant-based eating," Purple Carrot's Founder and CEO Andy Levitt said in a press release. "We're incredibly excited to be partnering with Tom and his team to introduce this new line of performance meals that are in line with the TB12 philosophy."
The nourishing meals are delivered weekly with 100% plant-based and gluten-free ingredients. Designed to maximize nutrition and total body wellness, they are easy to prepare and can be whipped up in 30 minutes or less. The recipes limit the use of soy and refined sugars as per TB12's nutritional guidelines.
Brady says that for him, joining forces with Purple Carrot was a simple decision. "Eating meals just like the ones we'll send out to our customers has helped me stay at the top of my game, and it's really exciting to be able to deliver the recipes and ingredients for people to easily cook these meals at home," he said in the release.
Each box of TB12 Performance Meals comes with the ingredients and instructions needed to cook 3 meals serving two people each. They are priced at $78 per week (or $13 per plate). Head over to their website for more information.
