It's Oprah Winfrey's last season of the Oprah Show, and while the next week of episodes are sure to be ones you don't want to miss, we wanted to take time out to reflect on some of Oprah's best fitness-related moments before she says goodbye. No one on TV has been so honest and public about her relationship to food, exercise and her body as Oprah. So, today we look back on three events that left a mark in fitness TV celeb history!

1. The marathon. Back in 1994, Oprah ran the Marine Corps Marathon in just more than 4 hours and 29 minutes. And with it? She inspired a nation of women — and men — that they, too, could be runners no matter what their fitness backgrounds were!

2. The declaration. A couple of years ago Oprah publically discussed her weight gain due to a thyroid condition. Putting aside all the rumors and tabloids that she was gaining weight again, she put the national spotlight back on health — and being an empowered and engaged patient. 

3. The "number." It was earlier this year that Oprah sat down with Jennifer Hudson to talk about her recent weight-loss through the Weight Watchers' system. While the entire interview was inspiring, Oprah's persistence to get Hudson to say how many pounds she had lost (she was extremely reluctant to do so on the show) was a good reminder that we should all stand up and be proud of what we've accomplished — whether it's on national television or not!
