Two-time Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman is usually all business. When you're competing in a sport that's all about being perfect—down to pointed toes, precise landings, and balancing on a 4-inch-wide beam—it's pretty obvious why. (This inspiring video of her for Reebok's #PerfectNever campaign will make you look at perfection in gymnastics in a totally different way.)
But now that she's two Olympic Games and six medals deep, Aly Raisman has the chance to chill out a bit—but not for too long, considering she's planning to go for number three at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. (When your Olympics team is this close-knit, how can you not want to go back again and again?) For now, though, she's enjoying life as a 22-year-old athlete sensation. We took the opportunity to sit down with her and ask a bunch of not-so-serious questions—because no one should have to be serious and perfect all the time.
From her secret talent to her favorite foods and the song that's currently stuck in her head, we got Aly to dish on a bunch of things you didn't know you wanted to know about her. Obv, one of the first on the list: "Where do you keep your medals?" Because when you've got that much hardware (three gold, two silver, and one bronze) you've got to keep those babies safe. Also on the list: "What are your pre-competition rituals?" Because we learned that most Olympians do some crazy stuff before hitting the mat, field, or pool. Plus, you'd be surprised which sports this gymnast loves to do outside the gym and which she'd choose if she could slay the Olympics on a different type of competition floor.
Curious yet? Watch the video to find out the answers to all these and more. Spoiler: If you don't already love her, this video will settle it.
