This Week’s SHAPE Up: Gwyneth Paltrow on GLEE and More Hot Stories

Compiled on Friday, March 11th

This week Gwyneth Paltrow made her long awaited appearance on GLEE and she really heated up William McKinley High School. Not just with her sultry performance but with her characters risqué lesson in sex education. One celebrity who might not be bringing sexy back is Jessica Biel. She and long time boyfriend Justin Timberlake split this week. Luckily the sexy star, who turned 29 just last week, is looking better than ever (get Jessica Biel’s body with her 5 easy moves). We bet she doesn’t stay single for long!

Another well-known icon celebrating a birthday this week is Starbucks. In honor of their 40th anniversary Starbucks has been giving out petite treats (you have until Saturday to get one) with your drink order. Be sure to order smart and avoid these 5 Starbucks calorie shockers. Maybe Dancing with the Stars contestant Kirstie Alley should skip the Starbucks and try these top 50 spring diet foods for weight loss as she prepares for the show.  While we hope she has a DWTS body transformation we think Kirstie Alley and these 5 stars need a SHAPE makeover, ASAP!

While exercise is a key component in keeping weight in check and organs functioning properly it appears there is a point where you can get too much of a good thing. Recent research shows that excessive exercise may actually be bad for your heart. And although scientists are rethinking what is considered “normal” blood pressure you shouldn’t give up your Mediterranean diet just yet. New research shows this kind of diet also improves risk factors linked to diabetes and obesity.
