Sweeney advises to be honest about where you are currently and what you want to accomplish—set realistic goals, even if it means taking baby steps, and don’t let lack of time be an excuse for not working out.
“Even a shorter workout, if you up the intensity or if you have an injury, just working around it—you can still do your body lots of good,” she says. “Mentally you will feel so much better for having made the effort.”
“Those baby steps are the right way to get yourself headed down the right track,” Sweeney says. “Once you accomplish your first goal, your second is a bit easier!”
